Young Devere looks confused and annoyed.
Devere: What are you guys on abou-?!
Suddenly Devere's eyes flash chartreuse green, the same color that stains his eyes in adulthood, and his expression changes to one of surprise.
The green color fades and Devere's pupils dilate. He mumbles something mostly unintelligible as his consciousness seems to become impaired.
Devere: Hgkk~
The other two boys watch in horror as Devere falls backwards stiffly, losing his grip on the small vertebra.
Devere lands on the ground, a completely blank expression on his face. He has lost a sandle in the process.
Child1: Wah he's possessed!
Child2: N-No, it's a seizure! He told me he has 'em sometimes-
Child1: But his eyes were glowin'! You saw it!
Devere: What are you guys on abou-?!
