Chapter 1, Page 38: Last Nerve
“Stop bringing out the dad in me!”
I originally put in some sound effects for Devere’s exhale and Knell being put down on the ground but I just thought it looked better without them.

Devere, holding a baffled Knell, shouts at her out of frustration.
Knell: What-
Devere: Don't jump off like that! You tryin' to break your legs?!
Knell gives Devere a small, nervous smile, not sure how to feel about his actions and concern.
Knell: .... I'm sorry?
Devere exhales and rolls his eyes.
He then sets her down on the ground. Knell is still smiling a little at him.
Devere, under his breath: God's sake...
Devere hands Knell a small sack that had been tied to the saddle.
Devere: Here, these are your clothes. I dried 'em by the fire but they're still a mess.
Knell is now holding the sack with both hands and looks to side with a wary expression. Devere turns away from her.
Devere: Head on home then, and don't meander.
