They have reindeer-like feet for trudging through wetlands, and are great swimmers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They&#8217;re about the size of a Belgian draft horse, and their large horn is mainly for defense rather than hunting. Though they may mate and raise foals, they generally prefer to live a solitary existence in the wild.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Unicorns are not like horses. They are considerably more intelligent and fiercely independent. In fact, they&#8217;ll do anything to keep their freedom, be it by attacking their captor or crashing into fencing, making taming one a nigh impossible task. So seeing one as a mount is a rare sight, and is usually a sign their owner wields magic as unicorns are mainly drawn to mystics, and thus usually become a familiar as a result. The enhanced state of being and strong bond with their owner makes giving up their independence more worth it. So long as it&#8217;s mutual, one can find no greater animal companion.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"300\" height=\"248\" src=\"http:\/\/vermillionworks.com\/knell\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/camphr-300x248.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-395\" srcset=\"http:\/\/vermillionworks.com\/knell\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/camphr-300x248.jpg 300w, http:\/\/vermillionworks.com\/knell\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/camphr.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>The camphruch is based on the Renaissance beast of the same name.
