The Auld (or “Old”) Alliance is well, a very old alliance between Scotland and France against England. Stopped being a thing.

Also “blether” is Scottish slang and means *lots of gabbing*, basically. Though honestly if I was told it wasn’t quite being used correctly here I’d probably just change the word to “chat” as I wasn’t sure about my usage of this one. XP

In other news, I deleted my Gumroad page because the CEO of the site revealed himself to be skeevy as hell on Twitter recently and I no longer felt right having my stuff/meager PDF earnings on there, and frankly the site’s layout was constantly breaking anyway so it’s no real loss. I’d like to reupload the PDFs that were there to somewhere else like itch.io or even at my own site shop later, perhaps with future chapter PDFs.

I debated up until days before starting this comic whether or not to include narration by Miriam. I’ve always preferred comics that use more show than tell, AND I’m not very good at writing or incorporating narration in a way l love, but for various (mostly technical) reasons I decided it’d be smart to include it. I don’t want it to be very constant, but let’s see if I can make it so it doesn’t completely stop being a thing early on, as happened with DANIEL. XP

Also Florian’s finally back in the comic and looking way more smug than he did in the prologue.

I’m taking a break next week. Also with the upcoming holidays I don’t know how many updates will be happening in December, but I’ll let you all know!

Oh no, more uber-religious people. XP This is the Pierce family….most of them. Also, since we’re now in Scotland, “lassie” is slang, obviously.

We got two sisters – The girl in yellow is Patsy, the girl in pink is Naomi. Their father there is Jeremiah, and the lady in purple, their mother, is Georgina. Also random maid.

That Arthur Taylor guy is apparently into Spiritualism.
